February 2011 I was diagnosed with lung cancer. I had to receive radiation Monday through Friday for 37 1/2 weeks and chemo once a week for 37 1/2 weeks.
Needless to say I was terrified. I had seen people wither away from not eating and become lifeless. I knew I had to keep eating and moving my body. This I did and was blessed with not getting sick to my stomach, but most of all, as I lay (with eyes closed) receiving radiation, I prayed to our Blessed Mother and our Lord to be by my side and not leave me. Each day there were prayers I would say while getting treatment and visualizing our Mother with me.
As I awoke each morning, I would say my morning prayers, then prayers for the sick and in the car to the hospital for treatment, my rosary.
August, 2011 was the last radiation and chemo I had and in June of this year another PetScan to see if the last of the cancer is gone.
I would never have made it through this without my love for our Lord and our Mother and their comfort and love.
Every day I thank our Mother for her help and being at my side.
Prayer is the answer in whatever we do in life.
God Bless All who are suffering and may our Mother be at their side.
