On July 8th 2009, my mother passed away.
I am a hairdresser and my mom worked with me as a shampoo lady. After her passing , it was a very difficult time for me as I am an only child. A few days after her passing, I figured the best and hardest place for me would be back at work. As one of my clients was sitting in my chair, this wren appeared outside the window, just a jabbering. My client said, "Oh, it's your Mom." OH MY GOSH; it was true.
A company that goes door to door selling things came down my driveway ,and my wren sat on a post and just churped like crazy. My mom knew I hated to order ,but felt sorry for this man having this kind of job. She would always say "Don't Order." There is my wren churping "Don't Order." Then there were chipmunks at my house all over and they were a menace to me,and my mom knew I was upset with them. I looked out the window one day and there was my wren following and pecking at the neck of a chipmunk on my deck.
That wren stayed with me the whole winter, churping outside the window, eating from the bird feeder, and this is something they do not do - stay here for the Winter. One of my clients said to me ,when God and your mom know you are alright, you will not see the wren much anymore.
It was so very comforting for me. My mom was a small Lady, always flitting around and talking, so the wren was so fittting.
Watch for the signs God gives to you for comfort, and know your loved one is still with you. I do still see my wren every once in awhile.
